By William McQuillen on June 06, 2012- Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood today is set to join carriers including Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL) (DAL) and AMR Corp. (AAMRQ) (AAMRQ) to protest European Union greenhouse-gas limits the U.S. companies say may cost them more than $3.1 billion by 2020.
LaHood is scheduled to testify at a Senate Commerce Committee hearing on the plan that would force U.S. airlines to account for emissions on flights to and from EU airports.
